These are the only books I've kept and I sell the rest on GreenMetropolis. I would love to know what others think of these (even if you think it was total rubbish).
The Blind Assassin is fabulous if you can get through the first half of the book but I promise it's worth it.
The Time Traveler's Wife, of which many people have a hard time but I LOVE, is the sweetest love story with the craziest twist but I think it's more about all the people we love in life more than a pair of lovers. The film was rather lacking though but considering how much they had to cover, I suppose it was pretty good.
The Lovely Bones is a sh-sh-sh-shocking subject but not so scary as one would think and actually quite lovely. I'm not one who goes in for sad/true stories. I just can't cope with tragedy and avoid it at all costs. But this makes you think without ripping your heart out.
I'm not even sure why I loved this but it was interesting from start to finish and I consumed it with such eagerness and curiousity.
And just as good was Scarlet Thomas's other book, The End of Mr. Y. Ever so clever.
Caitlin Moran is a UK Times columnist. She is hilarious!!! And this book about herself learning to be a woman is wonderful!
