Our new neighbors invited us round for drinks this evening and we had such a nice time. She's Bolivian and he's English and they have a 9 month old baby boy called Santiago who we hear screaming through the walls quite often but he's seems a happy chappy. They also have a small dog called Pixie. It's a miniature black Lassie (whatever one of those breeds is called) that fits through the catflap. It was really interesting to see inside their house compared to ours. I'm increasingly noticing just how old and neglected and not up to scratch this house is and I don't think I can turn a blind eye another Xmas but we do so love it here.
Tomorrow is Rita's annual Xmas do (Tom's Nan) which is the one time of the year we see Tom's whole family in one place or at all even. But it's always a nice day and I think I should take something to contribute so I'm making Nancy's Brown Butter Button cookies. They've just come out of the oven and look nice but I've never had them before and I have to let them cool before I can taste them and know if they're coming with to Rita's or not. Also, must gather the gifts tonight so I don't end up posting anything to anyone for forgetting; No doubt Tom will rush me out the door and we will forget the gifts or the baby bag. (Note: He doesn't need to rush me out the door, he just gets impatient waiting for me to remember everything).
When I saw the title, I thought this was going to continue with the "nugget" theme...|
